SA Vs Aus, Morkel to take challenges against Warner


The South African pace spearhead, Morne Morkel has promised to take up his challenge to Australian opener batsmen David Warner ahead of first T-20 of two in a series scheduled to start today in Cape Town. Warner has hit 2 back-to-back hundreds in recently finished Champions League T-20 in India. 

Aussie team is touring Africa, where they will play starting with 2 Twenty-20’s, 2 Tests and 3 ODIs. The series will much interesting battle between two tough teams fighting for their supremacy. The series of Aus vs. SA will kick start with Twenty20s, beginning on October 13 in Cape Town.

New South Wales batsmen Warner is in a splendid form and is fresh from blazing back-to-back centuries in the Champions League T20 tournament in India. Proteas spearhead. Morne Morkel, who is Warner's teammate in the Delhi Daredevils, posed a challenge for hard hitting Warner. Morkel asked Warner try to his switch-hitting against his 150km deliveries.

Morne said that Warner affirmed he won’t try that against him; he also added that Warner played exceptionally well in the Twenty20 formats. Proteas pace head said that the most important thing for them is to not stand back and, in a way, fight fire with fire. Morne said that Warner will be finding hard to move his feet in Cape Town compared to sub-continent.

However, Australian vice-captain Shane Watson feels that Warner has grown in confidence as an international player. He added that the two innings he played in India were as impressive an innings as you can ever see. Warner is a special talent, he is more mature player than he first came into frame, to played both right-left handed against high quality bowling attacks was so adventurous and superb to watch.

Today’s fight between Morkel and Warner will decide who will be winning the battle.
