Djokovic, Nadal in finals of US Open 2011


World No. 1 Novak Djokovic and Rafa Nadal, world no.2 will be clashing in the U.S. Open final for the second year in a row after winning their semi-finals at Flushing Meadows on Saturday. Djokovic defeated Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal outplayed andy Murray to reach the finals of US Open 2011.

Novak Djokovic continues his good run  and proved once again he is the hottest player in the game right now, where he saved two match points to roar back from the brink of defeat and beat Roger Federer in a 5 set thriller with 6-7 (7-9) 4-6 6-3 6-2 7-5. Meanwhile in the other semi-final Nadal showed his form and confidence soaring with each match he played and powered past Britain's Andy Murray  in 3 straight sets 6-4 6-2 3-6 6-2. 

Nadal defeated Djokovic 12 months ago, where he won all the grand slam titles and there after the Serbian has upper hand over Nadal. The Spaniard added that he lost his last five matches against him, five finals. Djokovic is the favorite to clinch the title and Nadal added that he needs to do more than what he is used to do agan=inst him to defeat Djokovic considering his form. Djokovic has already won two grand slam titles this year, at the Australian Open and Wimbledon.

Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal will be clashing in the finals of US Open 2011 on Monday, Sep, 12.
